Our Story
The Story of Hugging Frame
My name is Nicky, the founder of Hugging Frame. Our story began with a friend of mine. Her boyfriend was studying in Europe, and the distance between them weighed heavy on her heart. She wanted to tell him how much she missed him — but in a way that went beyond just words.
That’s when I had an idea. With the help of AI, I animated two separate photos of them so they could embrace, kiss, and hold each other again. Then I turned that animation into a flipbook she could send to him across the miles. When the boyfriend received the flipbook, he said it felt like he could feel the warmth of her hug right at that time. That moment is how Hugging Frame was born.
Love Across Every Distance
Since then, I’ve seen Hugging Frame touch people in ways I could have never imagined.
-
A Daughter’s Hug for Mom
One young woman wanted something more than flowers for Mother’s Day. I helped her create a flipbook of her hugging her mom, so even from miles away, her mom could feel her love. -
A Granddaughter’s Hug for Grandma
A little girl’s grandmother was in the hospital, too weak to have visitors. Her family used Hugging Frame to give her a flipbook of her granddaughter running into her arms. It became a little piece of hope she could hold on to while she healed. -
A Hug Across Generations
A mom once came to me wanting her son to know how much his late grandmother loved him. We took an old photo of grandma and animated her hugging the boy. It was a moment that spanned generations — a hug that time could never erase. -
A Hug for Healing Hearts
Another time, someone wanted to comfort her friend who had just lost her puppy. Together, we created a flipbook of the puppy animated into her arms one more time. It wasn’t just a gift — it was comfort in the middle of grief.
Why I Do This
For me, Hugging Frame has always been about more than flipbooks. It’s about keeping love alive — across distance, across time, and even across loss. Every time I help someone bring two people (or even a beloved pet) together again, I’m reminded that hugs never truly fade.
At Hugging Frame, I transform memories into moments you can hold, share, and feel — one flip at a time.
